Set in the hills, south east of the historical town of Paphos, the Aphrodite Hills golf course boats unique challenges accompanied by breath taking vistas of the surrounding ocean. It’s a course suitable for all handicaps and will certainly prove a worthwhile challenge for mid-handicap players.

Its reputation means that Aphrodite Hills is kept busy throughout the year.  If you want more flexibility of tee times it may be best to go off-season, the weather in Aphrodite Hills is a pleasant 20° – 25° in April.

The course

The magnificent 18 hole course is a beautifully crafted into the hills, overlooking the site where the Greek goddess Aphrodite was allegedly born.  As you ride between the holes with your obligatory buggy, take in some of the beautiful surroundings of this championship course.

Each hole offers its own challenges, set between the lush greens and many bunkers.  Hole 7 stands out as the masterpiece, separated by a large, natural ravine.  Hole 3 is equally distinct, a challenging par 5 uphill also over the canyon.

Did you know that Aphrodite Hills is the first and only golf course to host the PGA National Cyprus?  Putting the course among some of the most prestigious in the world.  Aphrodite Hills regularly hosts events and challenges throughout the year to get involved in.

Overall the course is very well kept throughout the year, multi-million refurbishments were completed in January 2018, and so there’s never been a better time to go!

Getting round the course

Due to its length, Aphrodite Hills is a buggy oriented course.  These are included in the price and equipped with water to keep you hydrated, (You’ll need it if you go during the summer months).  The course is easy to navigate and well signposted. There are court martials on hand to speed up play when needed.

 

Facilities

There is plenty to help golf-enthusiasts of all abilities hone their skills. Beyond the 18 hole championship course, Aphrodite Hills is home to a 3-hole golf academy and 4 PGA qualified golf instructors.  Or head over to the large double-ended driving range.  The pro golf shop is equipped with all the essential apparel you need.

Aphrodite Hills is a huge resort, but fortunately most of the facilities are quite central and close to one another.  The Aphrodite Hills Hotel is right onsite and the many apartments and luxury villas to rent are close by too.
